2011 Spirit Coach of the Year
Krista Dailey
Watertown High School

For 15 years, Krista Dailey has been stoking the spirits of Watertown athletic teams and Arrow fans as the sideline cheer coach. She has been Watertown’s head competitive cheer coach for the three seasons the program has been in existence. Last Fall she guided the Arrows’ competitive cheer squad to its second Eastern South Dakota Conference championship in the last three years.

Watertown went on to capture second place in the state Class AA competitive cheer grand champion standings. In 2009, her squad won the state Class AA cheer championship.

Dailey is a 1990 graduate of Watertown High School. “I love what I do,” she told Roger Merriam of the Watertown Public Opinion. “I love coaching and cheerleading. When you have a great group of girls, it’s real easy to do great things.”
